After proudly serving Wayne County as well as the surrounding area for 54 years, McClintock Electric is expanding their business into Columbus, Ohio and the surrounding communities with the addition of a new location in Plain City opening on June 1, 2017.

The decision to open a second location was the result of the growing demand for electrical and business technology services in the Columbus area over the last several years, combined with an increasing interest from businesses in the area to work with McClintock Electric. When asked what drove the decision after 54 years in one location to venture into the Columbus market, President Mike McClintock said, “Since our inception in 1963 McClintock Electric has been fortunate to grow and prosper mainly by concentrating the bulk of our business in Wayne and surrounding counties. Last year we bid and won a job at Easton Town Center. I’ve always admired Columbus as a diverse, vibrant city and saw this project an opportunity to gauge the construction environment. My experience with that project and ensuing jobs convinced me that a Columbus division would be a successful addition to the company and would help ensure our continued viability in northern and central Ohio.”

To continue the company culture of quality and professionalism developed over the long history of the company, Aaron Shields, Project Manager and Misty Shields, Purchasing and Warehouse Manager for over a decade in the Wooster office have relocated to oversee operations in the Plain City office.

McClintock Electric will remain headquartered in Wooster and continue to offer all of the services currently offered while expanding their list of available services in the coming months. The addition of the new location will better position the company to meet the needs of their clients and offer a wider range of solutions.
